The Cabot Carbon/Koppers Superfund site has proven to be a threat to the citizens of Gainesville, Florida, via soil, surface water and groundwater contamination.  The site could prove to be a threat to other areas of Florida by its contamination of the Floridan Aquifer, a source of drinking water for many Florida communities.
